What We’re All About

One of the many challenges that families of children with rare diseases face is that insurance companies often reject paying for additional equipment if the company has already paid for another one item. This was the case of the family of a young girl named Scarlett. The tumble form chair she needed was funded by insurance, however, she also needed something that would help her to get around safely and would also house all of her medical equipment. Having a chromosomal deletion syndrome, she is limited in her mobility with developmental delay, severe seizure disorder, congenital cardiac disease, and chronic lung disease.

Because of your generosity, Mes Papillons Foundation was able to donate a Wonderfold Wagon to Scarlett. The wagon is big enough to hold all of her medical equipment needs such as her oxygen tanks, suction machines, and feeding pump. It also has provided more stability when loaded with equipment than a stroller or wheelchair. The best part is that Scarlett is more mobile and able to join her family members on picnics and outings with less restrictions.

Your continued support will help us improve the quality of life for other children like Scarlett. Donate today!
